Join this one-hour online workshop to expand your vocabulary, exploring the phrases: "Kei te pēhea?", “E pēhea ana?”, “He pēhea?” in different contexts. Learn how to express the state or emotions and feelings of self, and of others, as well as the appearance, form or condition of things, like the weather in Te Reo Māori, while discussing te taiao (the natural world) and ngā atua (the Māori gods/elements).

Taahia is a skilled and experienced educator with a rich career spanning over 15 years, specialising in Te Reo Māori, Te Ao Māori, and Tikanga Māori knowledge transfer. Her extensive experience encompasses 12 years teaching in the ACE sector, and she is currently based in her hometown of Whakaoriori/Masterton, Wairarapa where she runs her business, Reo Rua Ltd. - a Māori Language, Education and Training provider.


As a multilingual with a passion for people, culture, travel, and languages, Taahia brings a unique and empathetic perspective to her teaching practice. Her approach is deeply rooted in culturally responsive teaching, ensuring that her methods are inclusive and considerate of diverse cultural backgrounds. She is also committed to integrating knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Aotearoa's indigenous history into her educational workshops, contributing to a broader understanding for her learners.


Taahia cherishes her role as a devoted Māmā and is loving her time living in her tūrangawaewae. Along with husband Davide and their two tamariki, they enjoy traveling frequently between their homes here in NZ and Sicily/Italy, further reinforcing their commitment to fostering cultural understanding and connection for their whānau.
